We continued with our Lenten season worship yesterday. It’s so good to at least consider the idea of slowing down and reflecting on the cross, spending time in repentance….
One of our tunes from yesterday had the line “the dying thief rejoiced to see that fountain in his day; and there may I, though vile as he, wash all my sins away.” It’s so important that we realize, as we come to the cross through humility and repentance that we are JUST as vile as the thief on the cross. Not worse off, nor any better – but just as vile. And if our faith is found in Christ – then we are JUST as redeemed as He was with Christ in paradise that day…
We opened yesterday with Arise and Sing from Brenton Brown – which very well may be a direct ripoff of Journey’s Faithfully.
After our call to worship we sang Shelter, When I Survey/Wonderful Cross, You Never Let Go, and There is a Fountain.
Our offering song was Let it Be Jesus.
Join us in just two weeks for our Easter season musical – “Come As You Are”
