What a great morning to be reminded of God’s love for us. I said something yesterday to the effect of – may we never forget how much God loves us. Especially in a season like lent – which can be characterized by fasting, repentance, reflection – all great things, but never forget that Christ HAS indeed risen, and HAS taken His place at the right hand of the Father, and because of His sacrifice, we are made clean.
We opened yesterday with Awake My Soul – a hymn rewrite that I did from an Isaac Watts text.
After our call to worship we sang Heaven and Earth, How He Loves, There is a Fountain, and Before the Throne of God Above.
Our offering song was a newer tune to OMPC called Mercy, by Matt Redman.
Join us this Sunday as our kids present Good Kings Come in Small Packages – the story of King Josiah, who started his reign at the age of 8. (2 Kings 22)
