Yesterday we celebrated the Bethlehem candle – signifying the preparation for Christ, and – as articulated by the prophet Micah – the peace of Christ. How often do we lose ourselves in the frenetic and chaotic pace of December, and completely lose the Peace that Christ has brought, can bring, and will bring.
Our style was a tad different yesterday, especially in contrast to next week’s Christmas worship service – Do Not Fear. Join us if you can, for either morning service – 8:15 and 10:45. Yesterday’s instrumentation was acoustic guitar, bass, percussion, and piano, and a single female vocal along with me.
We opened yesterday with Heaven and Earth.
After the call to worship we sang Relentless, O Come All Ye Faithful, Search Me, O Little Town of Bethlehem, and Waiting Here For You.
Our offering song was You’re Here – a Francesca Battistelli tune – sung by Kala Waldron.
