Yesterday was the 1st Sunday of Advent, and one of our “not-so-normal” worship sets at OMPC. Every once in a while I like to have fiddle, acoustic, hollow-body bass and perc (along with piano) to change up our style. We still stick to our normal programming but the instrumental context is a tad more relaxed. Lots of fun to play with those fine musicians!
We opened yesterday with All Who Are Thirsty
After the call to worship we sang Relentless, Come Thou Long Expected Jesus, Great Are You Lord, O Come Emmanuel and Waiting Here For You
Our offering song was Love Came Down by Kari Jobe – sung so well by Kala Waldron.
Join us next week for our 2018 Christmas service “Say Something” – both morning services, 8:15 and 10:45.
The music was so worshipful and meaningful. Thank you for choosing these songs.
I also appreciated that music wasn’t loud…so much more conducive to worship.
