Greetings blog-readers . . .
Yesterday was a choir Sunday. Choir takes a break now – but only for two weeks, and resumes rehearsals on June 9 as we prepare to lead in worship on June 20.
we opened yesterday with You Lifted Me Out (Tomlin, and a bunch of other people).
My opening encouragement yesterday was that as we sang the songs that we know well – to consider the text of the tunes, in light of Pentecost Sunday, and how they take on a whole new meaning, or bent, or angle. Pretty cool.
After our call to worship we sang Hosanna (Baloche), Immortal Invisible, Come Thou Fount, Mighty to Save, and a new song called Holy Spirit Come (Tommy Walker).
Our offering song was a new song of the latest passion record called Awakening (Tomlin/R Morgan) VERY good song.
Our summer schedule begins this Sunday. Worship at 9AM.
