Yesterday was supposed to be our 2020 Palm Sunday worship service. We will indeed experience that service as soon as we're able to come back together and worship as a church in person. We opened yesterday with Raise a Hallelujah After the call to worship we sang Hosanna, How He Loves, Praise to the Lord the Almighty and In Christ Alone Our offering song was You Say sung by Carlee Green. Yesterday was our 2nd online only service because of the coronavirus. If you're wanting to worship with us, you can join us online on Sunday mornings at 10:45, and now Wednesday evenings at 7, where we'll replay the Sunday service in its entirety (during this season). Yesterday was a first in the history of OMPC as we didn't meet at the building for worship, and instead followed the suggestions and guidance of the CDC and other health officials by streaming our service online only. I'm grateful to our awesome worship staff that had been working on this solution for a couple weeks now, and were able to flawlessly execute yesterday morning. We capped off our 2020 Global Missions Conference yesterday with a sermon from Bob on Faith Promise and our Faith Promise pledge offering. Yesterday started our two-Sunday World Missions Conference, which concludes next Sunday with our 2020 Faith Promise Pledge. We also have a choir Sunday yesterday - I love choir Sundays. Yesterday was one of our "not-so-typical" worship style Sundays - with the same type programming (songs) but with acoustic guitar, piano, fretless bass, fiddle, perc and just a couple vocalists. Yesterday was a communion Sunday and our Pastor of Outreach and Young Professionals preached, continuing our series in 2 Timothy. Thank goodness the SuperBowl is over, right? Also - remember when the half-time shows had musical talent? Yeah. Those were the days.
