The Sunday before Christmas is always a fun service.  Kids are out of school and it seems like families have started to take a deep breath as they look towards the coming days of a bit of rest and relaxation. We opened with Open Up the Heavens - a tune from last year's Christmas worship service... and one that I'd like to start doing regularly at OMPC.After our call to worship we sang Forever Reign, Angels We Have Heard on High, Angels from the Realms of Glory, and No Other Name.Our offering song was Breath of Heaven sung by Kristen Williams…

Today was the 2nd Sunday of Advent - the Bethlehem candle, which signifies our preparation for Christ.  I love Micah 5:2 - where God calls out Bethlehem - too small to be one of the clans of Judah - yet out of her will be born the King to rule all....  As WE prepare for Christ - where is God calling you to rest in the simple, the mundane, the ordinary - as He uses you to call others to prepare for Christ?We opened yesterday with Everlasting God.After our call to worship we sang You Lifted Me Out, O Come…

I failed to get the setlist up yesterday because, well.... it's Christmastime, and quite busy around here!
