Monday Morning Recap for Sunday – May 11, 2014

Our kids led us in worship yesterday morning under the stellar direction of Mandy Sears - kids choir director extraordinaire…We opened with a song from the Getty's called By Faith.After our call to worship we sang Victory in Jesus, Come Ye Sinners, and Here I Am to Worship.Our offering song was a tune Mandy wrote for Mother's day - a few years ago, called One Mother's Prayer.

Yesterday was Star Wars Day - May the 4th be with you….Yesterday was also a choir Sunday. I love choir Sundays! Even with a bunch of our ladies down at the beach retreat - we had a great turnout…We opened yesterday with Never Stop Singing a new-ish tune from Tim Hughes.After our call to worship we sang Amazing God, Forever Reign, Praise to the Lord the Almighty, and Lord I Need You.Our offering song was Jesus Only Jesus.Join us next Sunday as our kids lead us in worship for Mother's day.

Patrick Bush and the youth worship team filled in marvelously on Sunday, as I was returning home from chaperoning a band trip to Disney… Always great to have Patrick leading in worship. Does a remarkable job.He opened with Relentless.After the call to worship they sang You Lifted Me Out, Come Thou Fount, and Never Let Go.The offering song was another great tune off of Hillsong's Zion album - Stay and Wait.The choir leads in worship this Sunday. Happy Easter! We had a tremendous morning of worship yesterday. Lots of visitors. Lots of Easter pics filling up the Facebook and Instagram feeds. you know, the thing is - He is risen, and so we get to/ should celebrate like that every Sunday… a HUGE thanks to all the Oak Mountain folks that went out of their way to come to the early service - freeing up seats for visitors at the 10:45 service.We opened yesterday with Joyful.After our call to worship we sang Let God Arise, Everlasting God, Christ the Lord is Risen Today, Stronger, and In Christ…

No regular recap for this Monday morning. Yesterday was our Palm Sunday worship service Come Back Soon.We had been working towards this date, and Sunday morning, since mid-January. It involved our worship choir of about 90 voices, band, tech teams, and video. It lasts the entire hour of worship - and this year, was all about Heaven.Included in the hour was Andrew Peterson's Come Back Soon. Great track.
