We had our "acoustic" set this past sunday - perc, acoustic, and piano... I always enjoy changing up the "typical" instrumentation every once in a while.We opened with Let Us Return - a tune I wrote a few years ago, based on Hosea.After our call to worship we sang Forever Reign, The Solid Rock, We Will Run, and Surrender.Our offering song was Give Me Faith.Come join us for choir this Wednesday, as we prepare to lead in worship on Sunday the 19th.

We had a choir Sunday yesterday - and even with two dozen ladies out for one reason or another, we had a great turnout.  It is, of course, never too late to get involved with choir.We opened yesterday with a song I wrote with Billy Ivey called I Will Sing, or My King, or something...After our call to worship we sang You Lifted Me Out, Come Ye Sinners, Rejoice the Lord is King, and 10,000 Reasons.Our offering song was a tune included in our 2013 Palm Sunday worship service (that wasn't on Palm Sunday this year because of Spring Break)…

Thursday Thoughts 4.25.13

1.  After this week, i'm convinced that there's nothing wrong with a MAC that removing interaction with Windows products wouldn't solve.2.  Fast.  Good.  Cheap.  Pick two.3.  Dear Musicians - Neil Peart, of Rush, triggers pre-recorded synth parts, and BGV's.  He doesn't use a click.  He knows the exact tempos.  Let that sink in.4.  We unplugged our cable/dish/whatever, almost a year ago.  Best $80/month savings ever.5.  If you're gonna be an annoying driver/speeder through my neighborhood - probably shouldn't have a rare/easily identifiable car - like a black Porsche SUV.
