Monday Morning Recap for Sunday – March 10, 2013

So it's Tuesday....I don't really have a recap for last weekend except to say that we had a great morning of worship - and about 100 people involved from the worship ministry in leading through Your Love Never Fails. Not the song title, although we did indeed sing that song - but an hour long service aimed at reminding us of the unfailing love of the Father.I think one of the favorite songs was I Will Wait from Mumford and Sons -We also watched Nooma RAIN - which you can watch below...[youtube https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=loFBGdeXGtg]Only one service this Sunday because of spring break…

1. I thought it was supposed to get warm in March?2. So - daylight saving time begins this Sunday... neat.3. Oh yeah - "Your Love Never Fails" is also this Sunday.4. There's a tree outside my office that has bloomed and died several times in the past two weeks.5. Easter Sunday is the first Sunday after the first full moon after the spring equinox.

We had Oak Mountain acoustic yesterday with Josh, Drew, and Connie on the fiddle. It offers a nice contrast in style to next week's Easter season worship service (9 and 10:45 - come join us!)We opened yesterday with Search My Heart from Hillsong.After our call to worship we sang Shelter, Come Ye Sinners, Jesus Paid it All, We Will Run, and He Knows My Name.Our offering song was Waiting Here for You.Be sure and join us next week as we lead in "Your Love Never Fails" - our Easter season worship service.

So I'm a day late this week...Last Sunday was the inaugural performance of my wife's newest musical "Not Just With Our Words." She started working on it back in late spring of 2012, and started rehearsing with the kids in the fall.About 70 kids, and a whole slew of adult volunteer teachers, set builders, prop masters, and technicians helped to put it all together.We're working right now on the video from Sunday's program, and we'll be making the musical available for purchase to other churches soon.Our Easter Season worship service is early this year - March 10th - just 12…

As we were leaving breakfast today, my oldest said "i don't think i'll ever get tired of waffle house for breakfast..." I don't know.....5. We concluded our global missions conference yesterday with a message from Bruce Fiol. Next Sunday - be sure and join us for our 2nd original kids' musical - Not Just With Our Words, written by my wife - Mandy Sears.We opened yesterday with Let Your Kingdom Come.After our call to worship we sang Filled with Your Glory, O 4 a 1000 Tongues (with the Crowder chorus), The Same Love, Hear Us From Heaven, and Saviour King.Our offering song was God is Coming, from Tim Hughes's latest worship album.
