Monday Morning Recap for Sunday – December 9, 2012

Yesterday was the 2nd Sunday of Advent - the Bethlehem candle on the traditional Advent Calendar…We opened yesterday with All Because of Jesus.After our call to worship we sang  Sing to the King, O Come All Ye Faithful, O Little Town of Bethlehem, and You Alone Can Rescue.I was struck by the last verse in O Little Town - "cast out our sin and enter in, be born in us today" and how well it fits with the opening line for You Alone Can Rescue - "who, Oh Lord, can save themselves, their own souls could heal…"For our offering song, Lauren…

1.  I finally edited my notification preferences for Spotify.  My email inbox isn't going to know what to do with all the extra space.2.  It's "unsubscribe from that email list" week.3.  Microsoft announced that it's releasing a new social network.  Revolutionary, Microsoft - and so timely too.4.  Thursday mornings I take my oldest son to breakfast - it's some of the best time of my week.5.  Is there a better Christmas movie than Charlie Brown's Christmas?  Well - except for Christmas Vacation, of course.
