Monday Morning Recap for Sunday – January 22, 2012

We kicked off our 2012 Global Missions Conference yesterday. Our conference this year is lasting a week as opposed to the normal 3 days.We opened yesterday with a new tune (to Oak Mountain) - Charlie Hall's Song of the Redeemed. I say it's new to Oak Mountain - but Patrick Bush has been using it for a couple years in the youth house. We celebrated Sanctity of Life Sunday yesterday - with a video testimony from Lisa Cleghorn. I'll post that up here later this week. Greetings interwebs, and Happy New Year.We opened worship yesterday with Come Ye Sinners. After our call to worship we sang Let God Arise, Our God Saves, Great is Thy Faithfulness, and When All is Said and Done.Our offering song was a Hillsong Grownups tune that I'm really digging called Stronger.For Communion we sang May Jesus Christ be Praised - an arrangement that came out of a hymn writing group that I was a part of years ago. We had the choir leading in worship yesterday. Choir Sundays have been my favorite Sundays.We opened yesterday with Our God Saves.After our call to worship we sang Come Christians Join to Sing, Hosanna, Search Me (from Ronnie Freeman), Center, and Jesus Paid it All, with the Kristian Stanfill chorus. Our offering song was a Matt Redman tune that we used last Christmas called You Alone Can Rescue.
