We've got our #1 and #2 in Tae Kwon Do. Apparently there's varying degrees and disciplines, even in the outfits here in Birmingham. I've been convinced since day 1 that we made the right decision with World Class TKD.This is the recent testing that their two instructors, Richard Coon and Justin Scarcella went through to earn their 4th degree black belt. Friday Favorites, personal
I'm just gonna say this. I hate trash TV. And let's face it - stuff that falls in this category (for me at least) are shows like:The Bachelor/Bachelorette - conveniently, starting back up tonight, Survivor, Big Brother, American Idol, Top Model, anything on MTV, a lot of things on Fox, blah blah blah, etc. You get the point. Usually, if it's called "reality," then i automatically turn it off. Except for Pawn Stars. I LOVE watching pawn stars. 2011. Wowzer. It goes by faster and faster every year.We only had one service yesterday - and i love the packed house. It's great to see all the faces at once, and hear all the singing...We opened with Come Ye Sinners - which is ending up being one of my favorite hymn re-writes.After our call to worship we sang Because of Your Love, Our God Saves, O Worship the King, and How Deep the Father's Love for Us. Two recaps today - one for our Christmas Eve service - and one for yesterday - Sunday the 26th.Our Christmas Eve service has developed into quite the tradition. This was my 8th Christmas at Oak Mountain, and I've tried to instill some sort of "traditional" songs for oak mountain, during Christmas Eve.
