Monday Morning Recap for Sunday – February 16, 2020

Yesterday was one of our "not-so-typical" worship style Sundays - with the same type programming (songs) but with acoustic guitar, piano, fretless bass, fiddle, perc and just a couple vocalists. We opened yesterday with Come Ye Sinners After our call to worship we sang Hosanna, Come Thou Fount, Build My Life and Living Hope Our offering song was a great tune called He Will Hold Me Fast

Yesterday was a communion Sunday and our Pastor of Outreach and Young Professionals preached, continuing our series in 2 Timothy. We opened yesterday with All My Fountains After the call to worship we sang Lay Me Down, Great Are You Lord, Rejoice the Lord is King and Oceans Our offering song was a new tune (for OMPC) called His Mercy is More - led by Landon Ditto.

Yesterday was our first choir Sunday of 2020! Choir Sundays are always my favorites - such an incredible group of worshippers. If you'd like to join us, there's never been a better time. We had a busy week at OMPC as all of our normal weekly activities kicked back off - including worship choir which meets on Wednesday nights from 6-7 in the choir room. We're starting right away with our Palm Sunday music, and there's never been a better time to join us! We have free childcare, drinks and snacks and there's NO requirement to be able to read music. We opened yesterday with Heaven and Earth After the call to worship we sang I AM, Jesus Only Jesus, Living Hope and Never Once Our offering song was Your Love Defends Me.

Bible Reading Plan for 2020

I read through the Bible every year, and have switched between two different plans - a chronological plan that follows the story based on when the books were authored, and aligns historical events (example - you'll read the Chronicles and Kings accounts of the same story at the same time) and a historical plan which essentially goes through from page one to page done.
