Our 4th Sunday of Advent was the Angels' Sunday - the Annunciation of Christ. We only have one more service in the 2019 Advent Season - tomorrow's (Tuesday) Christmas Eve Services at 5 and 6:30. Yesterday was one of our "not the typical OMPC musical style" sundays with a couple acoustics, piano, bass and percussion. It's also the 2nd Sunday of Advent and at Oak Mountain we continue to sing some of our favorite praise songs along with Christmas carols, but in light of Advent - the text of those praise songs take on a whole new meaning. We started our 2019 Season of Advent yesterday with our annual Kids Sing-a-long. Advent is the 4 Sundays prior to Christmas. Each Advent Sunday has a "theme," traditionally signified by an Advent wreath with 3 purple candles, a pink candle and a white candle. The first Sunday of Advent is the Prophets Candle - signifying the prophets foretelling of Christ's birth.
