Monday Morning Recap for Sunday – November 12, 2017

Yesterday was a bit different from our norm at OMPC as we had the author of the BlueBook - Jim Branch with us for an "interview" of sorts from our Sr Pastor.  We got to hear from him about his heart for writing the book and deepening his personal walk with Christ. Our worship set was dramatically shorter as we wanted to make sure to allow enough time for Jim and communion, so we only had 4 tunes. We opened yesterday with Our God Saves After our call to worship we sang Hosanna (Praise is Rising), Fairest Lord Jesus and 10,000 Reasons The…

Monday Morning Recap for Sunday – November 5, 2017

We had a wonderful crisp fall day yesterday here in Alabama - high humidity and temps in the 80's.  Nothing says fall like running in shorts and a t-shirt.  We're also drawing near to the close of our year-long sermon series on the #BlueBook - written by Jim Branch.  Yesterday's theme was "broken" and so our worship set was designed to remind us that in our brokenness it is God's faithfulness that we cling to. We opened with Glorious Day - a relatively new song from Passion in Atlanta. After our call to worship we sang Forever (and may or may not…

Believe it or not - we have almost wrapped up our entire year of the #bluebook devotional that OMPC has been going through over the past year!  Today our theme was almost combined with both "fear" and "trust."  For those of you following along diligently - wait until next week to do "trust" as we will be going through that week as a church. We opened yesterday with All My Fountains After our call to worship we sang Your Grace is Enough, Jesus, Be Still My Soul and Oceans Our offering song was an older tune from Tommy Walker that I've always loved…
