We had our choir lead yesterday - I always love choir Sundays, and I always write that I love choir Sundays - because they're great opportunities to get as many as want to be involved, helping to lead in worship.  If you've thought about joining us in choir before - there's never been a better time to join us, as we're zeroing in on our December 11th Christmas service.Yesterday's service was a tad different than normal choir Sundays.  I like to plan.  I like to plan ahead, and as with most choir sundays - this was planned a few weeks…

Our choir led worship yesterday - i'm always so fond of our choir - their commitment to worship, music, fellowship and community, and their desire to lead others into the awesome presence of our most Holy God... Yesterday was our US Mission Sunday with our guest speaker Mike Jones from Harvest Community Church.  It was a great time of hearing from our different worship US Missionaries, Campus Ministries and our Hispanic Ministry - Iglesia La Fe.We opened yesterday with Unstoppable God.After our call to worship we sang Soul on Fire, The Stand, God of This City and Be Thou My Vision.Our offering song was a tune played by the intern over at Iglesia La Fe - Sebastian Casas.

It was great to be back at OMPC after a wonderful time of vacation with my bride!  We changed things up stylistically just a tad from our normal "full band" sound, and had an acoustic feel with fiddle, acoustic guitar, some percussion and bass (along with piano of course).We opened Sunday with Come Ye Sinners.After our call to worship we sang Joyful, I AM, We Will Run, and Jesus Only Jesus.Our offering song was Because He Lives, sung by Carlee Green.

Jenny Pruitt filled in for me yesterday as my wife and I were out on vacation - such a talented singer/songwriter and worship leader!  We're blessed at OMPC to have her!She opened with Our God SavesAfter the call to worship they sang Forever, Stronger, and Abide With Me.The offering song was an original tune of Jenny's called Come to Me.
