Happy Birthday to Drake

It's #1's 10th birthday today. I've posted his story a couple times here. I'm gonna post it again, because it serves, to this day, as a constant reminder of how God radically changed our hearts on what we knew to be true of his character. He was born at 6:01, on a Friday - June 15, 2001. This was after 30 hours of labor, 3 doctors, 5 nurses . . . and then she pushed for 3 hours. They were about ready to do a C-section when the doc saw the head.He came out grey . . . and not breathing.…

Monday Morning Recap for Sunday – June 5, 2011

There have been few times in the almost 8 years that I've been here where we've totally thrown out your typical "worship order" and opted for something completely out of the box - and yesterday was one of those times. We invited in Curt Cloninger to come and share with us his "God Views" show. Absolutely incredible. I've known Curt for almost 14 years now. We met while working at Perimeter Church in Atlanta. I've been trying to get him in here since we moved - and yesterday was the day. If you don't know Curt - check his stuff out…

Friday Favorites 6.3.11

1. Favorite reason to not do a Friday Favorites this week - I've spent all week up at my parents' lake house in Seneca, SC. Great time not doing anything - which is also why i don't have any friday favorites this week - except for this picture, which i took last year. This is mom and dad's buck-wild Airedale named Hannah. Hannah gets pretty nuts around the pool - so I went over to the skimmer lid and stuck my finger up through the hole in the cover. She then spent the next 5-6 hours staring at the lid,…
