One of my vocalists, a dear friend - that sings on praise team quite often, was told in high school (by an ill-informed chemistry teacher) that she shouldn't ever sing. It scarred her, probably permanently, and affects the way she views worship, singing, participation in ministry, and bringing her gifts before the Lord. Patrick and the Youth worship team led worship in my absence yesterday. We have the best youth ministry and the best youth staff in the country - Patrick's very talented not only in discipling and shepherding youth - but also in leading worship. It's great to be able to leave knowing that it's so well taken care of. If your kids aren't in our youth ministry, and actively engaged - they should be. Encourage them to come. Drop them off.
