Monday Morning Recap for Sunday – September 30, 2018

Monday Morning Recap for Sunday September 23, 2018

We opened with May Jesus Christ Be Praised

Our offering song was Carlee Green’s rendition of You Say – the new tune out from Lauren Daigle.

Monday Morning Recap for Sunday – September 16, 2018

Hard to believe that we’re already halfway through September.  I’d say I can’t wait for it to get cold but as soon as it gets cold we all start saying we can’t wait for it to get hot.

In the meantime we’re already preparing for our 2018 Christmas Worship Service – you should come join us in choir on Wednesdays from 6-7

We opened yesterday with Heaven and Earth

After the call to worship we sang You Lifted Me Out, All Creatures of Our God and King, Lord I Need You and To Him.

Our offering song was Do It Again – a new tune we introduced last week from Elevation Worship.

Monday Morning Recap for Sunday – September 9, 2018

Great to be back with OMPC after spending a weekend away ministering.  We’ve also officially kicked off our Christmas rehearsal season as we’ve started preparing for our Christmas worship service on December 9th.  Come join us!

We opened yesterday with Your Love Awakens Me

After the call to worship we sang This is Amazing Grace, Great Are You Lord, Be Still My Soul and At the Cross

Our offering song was a brand new tune (for OMPC) called Do It Again by Elevation Worship.

I’ve gotten in trouble for changing words before to songs that we sing.  The critics have a valid point – the songwriters specifically wrote the lyrics, and in general I try to honor that.  I was specifically led yesterday (in real time) to change the final line of this new tune from “I never will forget…” to “Lord Help me not forget…”

An even casual reading of the old testament will show that God’s people did nothing BUT forget that His love never fails.  He has never failed.  He will never fail.  Even in the midst of my own life experience – seeing God never fail in the midst of my stupidity, Lord help me not forget, You’ve never failed me yet….

Monday Morning Recap for Sunday – August 5, 2018

School starts this week which means folks are back in church after summer break, travel and the lake!  We start our week of prayer this coming Sunday with our normal worship services at 8:15 and 10:45 and a concert of prayer and praise on Sunday night at 5:30

We opened yesterday with Your Love Awakens Me from Phil Wickiam

After the call to worship we sang Beautiful One, Lion and the Lamb, Reckless Love and Fairest Lord Jesus

Our offering song was He Will Hold Me Fast from the Gettys

Monday Morning Recap for Sunday – July 22, 2018

I’m so excited about next week!  This coming Sunday is our 15th Annual Bullfrog choir – open to all men (and their sons if applicable).  No need to be able to sing, at all!  In fact, when you combine that voice with 140 others, it blends in and creates this glorious sound of men leading the congregation in worship!

Join us if you’re able!

We opened yesterday with a new tune (for OMPC) called Your Love Awakens Me

After the call to worship we sang Relentless, Lion and the Lamb, Stronger and Holy Holy Holy

Our offering song was This I Believe (the Creed)
