Monday Morning Recap for Sunday – January 20, 2013

Yesterday was a morning/worship set for considering our position/posture in worship - as Bob's been preaching through the first few verses of 1 Peter the past few weeks - I'm reminded of how without God acting is us first - we don't possess the ability to sing His praise… HE lifted us out, HE sets our feet, HE tunes our hearts, HE leads us…We opened yesterday with Arise and Sing - a new-ish song from Brenton Brown that also has the same intro as Journey's Faithfully. After our call to worship we sang You Lifted Me Out, Surrender, and Lead Me to…

Monday Morning Recap for Sunday – December 16, 2012

I don't have our normal worship recap for yesterday - as it was our Christmas worship service that took the entire service time.  I'll post the videos here, this week for additional viewing.  So thankful for the three folks that stepped out and shared their stories.I will say this - one of my favorite songs from yesterday was from Tim Hughes's new worship album.  I don't think he intended it to be a Christmas song - but the lyrics are undeniable as one.  The title is God is Coming - and the chorus lyric is "Here You come, running to…

Yesterday was the 2nd Sunday of Advent - the Bethlehem candle on the traditional Advent Calendar…We opened yesterday with All Because of Jesus. After our call to worship we sang  Sing to the King, O Come All Ye Faithful, O Little Town of Bethlehem, and You Alone Can Rescue.I was struck by the last verse in O Little Town - "cast out our sin and enter in, be born in us today" and how well it fits with the opening line for You Alone Can Rescue - "who, Oh Lord, can save themselves, their own souls could heal…"For our offering song, Lauren…

Monday Morning Recap for Sunday – December 2, 2012
