WORSHIP CHOIR
Worship Choir is open to anyone – and I mean anyone. You DON’T have to have a great singing voice. You DON’T have to be able to read music. You DON’T have to make a lifetime commitment and give up every Wednesday night. You DO have to have a heart for worship, and a desire to get plugged into an exciting group of fellowship, community, and worship. We meet every Wednesday night from 6-7. If you have to be late? No problem, come when you can. Can’t make it every Wednesday night? No problem, come when you can! Can’t read music? No problem! I make CD’s with the songs on it and your part played on the piano. Childcare is provided for those who might need it. If you’re coming straight from work, we have snacks and drinks to tide you over. Come join us. Come fellowship and get plugged into an exciting group at OMPC. Email Jason with any questions!
PRAISE TEAMS
Our praise teams are made up of participants in the worship choir. No audition is necessary. The only requirement to be on praise team is regular participation in the worship choir. We generally sing tenor, alto, soprano, and lead (male). Teams rotate on a weekly basis, and rehearse on Wednesday nights after choir. Contact Jason for more info.
PRAISE BANDS
Notice the plural – Bands, not band. Our desire is to get anyone and everyone interested in playing, involved in the praise bands. Our worship bands are made up of volunteers serving by means of acoustic and electric guitars, bass, drums, percussion, and synth. Any skill level is welcome. Please contact Jason for more details on how to get plugged in.
CHILDREN’S CHOIRS
Our Children’s Choir program offers graded choirs beginning at age K4, and continue through the 6th grade. Our curriculum includes direction on ways to worship, musical training, Scripture memory (through song), and how to be a part of a singing ensemble. We offer seasonal programs for Christmas and the spring season. We meet from 4:30 – 5:30 PM on Sundays, and follow the LIFE! Group schedule.
TECHNOLOGY TEAMS
There are many ways to lead in worship on Sunday mornings, and one of the ways is through our technology teams. We are always looking for sound engineers, camera operators, and slide engineers (using a program called ProPresenter). There’s no experience necessary, and we provide all the training that you need. Come be a part of what God’s doing at OMPC by supporting through the technology teams. Contact Jason or our Technical Director – Wes Smith.
SCHOOL OF FINE ARTS
We offer a School of Fine Arts offering individual, specialized instruction in piano, voice, guitar, dance, art and drums. Please contact Kala Waldron for more information.
