Monday morning recap for Sunday – Feb. 15, 2009

Greetings to my mom, and the 5 others that read this blog.

I thought it may be helpful to start posting past worship orders, since we’ve done away with the bulletins.

Sunday – Feb 15, 2009 –
We opened with “Let God Arise,” by Chris Tomlin, Jesse Reeves, and Ed Cash.

After our call to worship, we sang Beautiful One, Mighty to Save, and Breathe.

For our offering song, we sang a new tune called “Amazing God,” by Brenton Brown (same guy that wrote Everlasting God). If you’re a worship leader and DON’T subscribe to Worship Leader magazine – do so today. About 10 times a year, they send out a “sampler” CD with 10 or 12 new tunes on it. 9 or 11 of those tunes are worth skipping, but every once in a while, there’ll be a song like “Amazing God,” which I wouldn’t have heard without the CD.

After the message (which is unusual for us to do “response songs”) we sang When All is Said and Done, and How Great Thou Art.

  • Jason, is there a recording out on the internet somewhere of “Amazing God”? I'd love to hear it, but I'm having a hard time finding it out there

  • “Amazing God” is. . .well, okay, amazing. Thanks for introducing it to us. Also, I don't know what to call it, but I loved the Little River Band “thing” going on during “How Great Thou Art.”
