Monday morning Recap for Sunday – May 9, 2010 (I'm pretty sure it's Thursday)

We’re in the midst of a series on Revival – Bob is teaching through several revival passages over the summer. I expect big things for Oak Mountain.

We opened last Sunday with Let Us Return, a song based on Hosea . . .

After our call to worship, we sang Not to Us, All Hail the Pow’r of Jesus Name, No Other Name (Todd Fields), You Alone, and You Never Let Go (Redman).

For our offering song – we sang a 3 1/2 minute version of Hillsong United’s Fire Fall Down. I had an argument with one of my friends – a worship leader at another church, that the song couldn’t be done without doing the 10 minute version. Not only do I think it was done, but done well – and well received by our congregation.

For communion we sang a song called Endless Praise, and a new Chris Tomlin/Reuben Morgan song called Awakening. GREAT tune.

This coming Sunday our kids are leading in worship. The following Sunday the choir is leading in worship.

  • Jason, I think it's funny that you specified the “3 1/2 minute version.” What Hillsong tune is under 6 minutes?
