Your kids NEED to be in children's choir

Notice i didn't say "should" or "might want to think about."If you've got kids - and they are ages K4-6th grade, they NEED to be in kids choir. Kids choir meets every Sunday night (following the LIFE group schedule) at 4:30. We have separate choirs for K4 and K5 - and the larger group (1st-6th grade) also splits up during rehearsal, but comes together for the musical.Why do I say they NEED to be in kids choir? Time is flying by. Before we know it, we'll be hanging Christmas wreaths. My parents always said that time goes quicker as you get older . . . Great time of worship yesterday morning. We opened again with Love is Here by Tenth Ave North. Bob Flayhart was back in the pulpit yesterday - starting a brief series on the Gospel Pipeline. Even if you've heard it - it's always refreshing to hear it again. Greetings people on the interwebses . . . Great morning AND evening of worship yesterday at the Oak. Bob Flayhart returns to the pulpit this weekend - you'll not want to miss it. Monday morning recap for Sunday – July 25, 2010

Greetings blog readers . . . I returned to oak mtn after being gone last week - such a great time coming back to the church family that I love so much. We had our 7th annual bullfrog choir. Tremendous turnout, and a tremendous sound from over 100 guys belting out the melody. It's really quite amazing. We opened with Let God Arise. After our call to worship we sang Sing to the King, Immortal Invisible, Center (Hall), Be Thou My Vision, and Never Let Go. Our offering song was Surrender. Love that song. Love it.
