It was great to be back at OMPC after being out last week. We've entered the home stretch as we look forward to our Palm Sunday service - on April 14. This week is a big week for us as we get the stage set, have extra rehearsals and our first dress rehearsal next Sunday after church. And as always - it's NEVER too late to jump into choir. Yesterday was a choir Sunday at OMPC - love choir sundays! If you're wanting to get involved, it's never too late to join choir. We meet on Wednesday nights from 6-7 in the choir room. Drinks, snacks and childcare are all provided. And right now we're preparing for our Palm Sunday worship service "Is He Worthy?" - set for April 14, for both morning services. Yesterday concluded our 2019 Global Missions Conference. Bob preached on Faith Promise - OMPC's giving mechanism to fund our missions effort. We opened yesterday with Relentless After the call to worship we sang Unstoppable God, O for a 1000 Tongues, We Will Feast and Great Are You Lord Our offering song was a new tune for OMPC called Who You Say I Am from Hillsong Our faith promise tune was Let Your Kingdom Come Join us next week for our Kids Musical "Not Just With Our Words" written by my wife Mandy Sears.

Yesterday was the start of our 29th annual Global Missions Conference at Oak Mountain.  We had a great morning as the choir led worship, we heard from missionary guests and our speaker - David Stoddard. We opened yesterday with Let Creation Sing After the call to worship we sang Jesus Shall Reign, Forever Reign, Jesus Only Jesus and No Other Name. Our offering song was All the Poor and Powerless

Yesterday was an acoustic Sunday at Oak Mountain - something we do from time to time with acoustic, piano, bass, fiddle and perc. We opened with Here For You After the call to worship we sang Heaven and Earth, Build My Life, O Come to the Altar and Fairest Lord Jesus Our offering song was a new tune for OMPC - Raise a Hallelujah by Bethel Our two communion tunes were He Will Hold Me Fast and How Sweet the Name of Jesus Sounds.

2 weeks into February and we're continuing to introduce new tunes for OMPC worship.  If you're reading this and attending OMPC for worship hopefully you're finding the new music to draw you into a closer understanding of the character of God, and His love for us through Christ. Yesterday was a choir Sunday for OMPC, we hosted the Spain Park Baseball team AND prayed for and said goodbye to Tom Franklin and the Homewood Church plant as they leave to plant a church in Homewood. We opened yesterday with Your Love Defends Me After the call to worship we sang Amazing God, Good Good Father, Praise to the Lord the Almighty and Lord I Need You Our offering song was Holy Spirit - sung by Carlee Green.
