Had a great Easter morning worship!  Good to see our folks hanging around before leaving on spring break vacations to worship with us!We opened Sunday with Joyful.After our call to worship we sang This is Amazing Grace, Christ the Lord is Risen Today, Stronger, Revelation Song, and No Other Name.Our offering song was a tune sung by Carlee Green called How Can it Be from Lauren Daigle.  Stay tuned - I'll have the service up for viewing soon.

Yesterday was our 2016 Palm Sunday worship celebration.  I don't normally do a typical recap on Monday mornings, but stayed tuned as there will be some videos from the morning up soon.Our songs included selections from Matt Redman, Elevation Worship, Passion, Natalie Grant, Kari Jobe, Hillsong, Matt Maher, and Gungor.Join us for our Holy Week services this week - Thursday's Maundy Thursday service at 10AM - led by our Westminster School, our Good Friday service this Friday morning at 7AM, and our Easter Sunday services at 8:15 and 10:45.

Great time of reflection and worship yesterday, as our set was designed to ask God to focus our gaze on His beauty, Jesus' sacrifice, and our call to repentance.  I always enjoy planning a more reflective worship set for the season of Lent....We also had a bit of a change from our typical style in that we had fiddle, acoustic, bass and perc, and a single female vocalist (in addition to my vocal).We opened with Relentless.After our call to worship we sang Hosanna (Hillsong), When I Survey/Wonderful Cross, Nothing but the Blood, and We Will Run.Our offering song was Love is WarJoin…

I didn't post my normal Monday Morning recap, mostly because my wife and I snuck out of town for a couple days, but last Sunday our Kids Choir presented and led us in Good Kings Come in Small Packages - a terrific kids musical about the story of Josiah, the boy-king that started his reign at the age of 8, after his dad (Amon) was killed by some servant.  Amon was a bad dude.   Josiah restored true worship to Judah, destroyed idols, and cleansed the temple.In addition to the normal musical script - my wife also wrote a scene for…

What a great morning to be reminded of God's love for us.  I said something yesterday to the effect of - may we never forget how much God loves us.  Especially in a season like lent - which can be characterized by fasting, repentance, reflection - all great things, but never forget that Christ HAS indeed risen, and HAS taken His place at the right hand of the Father, and because of His sacrifice, we are made clean.We opened yesterday with Awake My Soul - a hymn rewrite that I did from an Isaac Watts text.After our call to worship…

Lent started last week - with Ash Wednesday, and carries on for 40 days before Easter (not including Sundays).  Growing up Catholic, as with a few other denomination that observe the Lenten season, Lent is typically characterized by a season of repentance, fasting, and reflection - a time of preparation for the celebration of Christ's resurrection.  It's important to note, though, that no amount of piety can take the place of a heart and soul completely surrendered to Christ.  It's not in our posture that we're found Holy, it is in Christ's death and resurrection that our standing is made…

Our 2016 Global Missions Conference concluded yesterday!  We were honored to have so many missionaries on campus.We opened worship yesterday with Heaven and Earth - a tune from Hillsong that we've been introducing at OMPC.After our call to worship we sang Let God Arise, O 4 a 1000 Tongues, Your Grace Finds Me, and Savior King.Our offering song was a tune called A Hymn for All the World, by Josh Bales.
