I'm so late posting my recap from last Sunday.  The family and I took a few days of vacation, but we were back today for worship rehearsal.We opened last Sunday with Here For You.After our call to worship we sang Not to Us, Filled With Your Glory, Immortal Invisible God Only Wise, and Breathe.Our offering song was Fire Fall Down, as we celebrated Pentecost with some amazing dancing from Alissa McCool.Join us next week as David Conrad teaches us from 1 Samuel 30!

Great to welcome Bob back from vacation yesterday - and he continued his sermon series on the Old Testament Sings Amazing Grace.We opened yesterday with Here for You.After our call to worship we sang Hosanna, O Worship the King, Break Through, and Love is War.Our offering song was Lord I Need You - by Matt Maher.  Love that tune.  Gonna be great as Oak Mountain learns to sing it.

OK - so it's Wednesday….It was good to be back after a weekend off to visit friends!We opened Sunday with Here for You.After our call to worship we sang Because of Your Love, The Solid Rock, Oceans, and Before the Throne of God Above.Our offering song was Your Grace Finds Me - a killer tune from Matt Redman.  Check it out if you haven't already….

I was out of town on Sunday, and Jenny Pruitt led worship for us.  Jenny always does a tremendous job!They opened last Sunday with Shelter.After the call to worship they sang Arise, We Will Run, and How Deep the Father's Love for Us.The offering song was an original tune from Jenny called Through.Join us this Sunday as Gary Purdy continues his two-part series on outreach at OMPC.

Our kids led us in worship yesterday morning under the stellar direction of Mandy Sears - kids choir director extraordinaire…We opened with a song from the Getty's called By Faith.After our call to worship we sang Victory in Jesus, Come Ye Sinners, and Here I Am to Worship.Our offering song was a tune Mandy wrote for Mother's day - a few years ago, called One Mother's Prayer.

Yesterday was Star Wars Day - May the 4th be with you….Yesterday was also a choir Sunday.  I love choir Sundays!  Even with a bunch of our ladies down at the beach retreat - we had a great turnout…We opened yesterday with Never Stop Singing a new-ish tune from Tim Hughes.After our call to worship we sang Amazing God, Forever Reign, Praise to the Lord the Almighty, and Lord I Need You.Our offering song was Jesus Only Jesus.Join us next Sunday as our kids lead us in worship for Mother's day.

Patrick Bush and the youth worship team filled in marvelously on Sunday, as I was returning home from chaperoning a band trip to Disney…  Always great to have Patrick leading in worship.  Does a remarkable job.He opened with Relentless.After the call to worship they sang You Lifted Me Out, Come Thou Fount, and Never Let Go.The offering song was another great tune off of Hillsong's Zion album - Stay and Wait.The choir leads in worship this Sunday.  Come join us!

Happy Easter!  We had a tremendous morning of worship yesterday.  Lots of visitors.  Lots of Easter pics filling up the Facebook and Instagram feeds.  you know, the thing is - He is risen, and so we get to/ should celebrate like that every Sunday… a HUGE thanks to all the Oak Mountain folks that went out of their way to come to the early service - freeing up seats for visitors at the 10:45 service.We opened yesterday with Joyful.After our call to worship we sang Let God Arise, Everlasting God, Christ the Lord is Risen Today, Stronger, and In Christ…

No regular recap for this Monday morning.  Yesterday was our Palm Sunday worship service Come Back Soon.We had been working towards this date, and Sunday morning, since mid-January.  It involved our worship choir of about 90 voices, band, tech teams, and video.  It lasts the entire hour of worship - and this year, was all about Heaven.Included in the hour was Andrew Peterson's Come Back Soon.  Great track.  You should check it out if you're not familiar with it!Holy Week continues at Oak Mountain with our 10AM Maundy Thursday service with our school, our 7AM Good Friday service, and then…

Lent is drawing to a close, and with next Sunday's Palm Sunday worship service - our Lenten emphasis  in worship is just about done.  (Be sure and join us next week as we lead in Come Back Soon - our Palm Sunday worship service).We opened yesterday with Come Ye Sinners.After our call to worship we sang  Because of Your Love, The Same Love, O Love that Will Not Let Me Go, and Never Let Go.Our offering song was Oceans.  Really looking forward to Oak Mountain singing that one together!See you next Sunday for Come Back Soon.
