Had a great morning of worship with the choir yesterday - i've always loved choir Sundays. It's a great opportunity for so many people to come together to worship and lead worship together.We also had a special guest preacher - Alton Hardy, planting a church in here in Fairfield - just west of Birmingham. Happy New Year! How is everyone doing on their new years resolutions? Our worship set was designed to be a reminder of focusing our efforts on Christ - allowing Him to be the change in us. We opened yesterday with Come Ye SinnersAfter our call to worship we sang Forever Reign, The Solid Rock, Search Me, and Love is War.Our offering song was Holy by Matt Redman. Great tune.Join us this Wednesday as we kick-off things heading into our Palm Sunday worship service. 6-7 in the choir room. Free childcare, drinks and snacks.

We were back to "normal" programming yesterday - as I don't tend to sing Christmas songs after Christmas. But before we talk about yesterday - we had Christmas Eve service!We opened Christmas Eve with Our God Saves - great tune and idea for talking about God's gift of salvation for mankind.After the call to worship we sang Joy to the World, Hark the Herald Angels Sing, Here I Am to Worship, and Away in a Manger. We kicked off the 2013 Advent Season yesterday at Oak Mountain.
