No regular recap for this Monday morning.  Yesterday was our Palm Sunday worship service Come Back Soon.We had been working towards this date, and Sunday morning, since mid-January.  It involved our worship choir of about 90 voices, band, tech teams, and video.  It lasts the entire hour of worship - and this year, was all about Heaven.Included in the hour was Andrew Peterson's Come Back Soon.  Great track.  You should check it out if you're not familiar with it!Holy Week continues at Oak Mountain with our 10AM Maundy Thursday service with our school, our 7AM Good Friday service, and then…

I know, it's Thursday.  My wife and I decided to pack the boys up on Sunday after church and take them to Disney for a couple days.  We're Disney FREAKS.  I'm convinced that Disney has the best customer service in the industry.  It's no wonder that countless companies and organizations pay thousands to send employees and teams to the Disney Institute to learn strategies and processes.  They're remarkable.As with every trip - i try to observe something different, and then ask myself how it can apply to the church.  This trip was no different.  We were on the monorail -…

We had a tremendous morning of worship yesterday.  It was a tad tricky, as our normal Wednesday night rehearsal was canceled due to #snowpocalypse 2014, part 3, but God showed up - and the morning went really well.  We concluded our 2014 Missions Conference yesterday - with both a morning AND evening worship service, and two great sermons from Dr Richard Pratt.We opened yesterday with a favorite tune from Tommy Walker - Do it Lord.After our call to worship we sang Jesus Shall Reign, Amazing God, The Same Love, and Holy (Redman).  Our offering song was Build Your Kingdom Here, and…

We kicked off our 2014 Global Missions Conference yesterday, and Bob taught on the importance of Faith Promise.We opened our service with Let Creation Sing.After our call to worship we sang Awesome is the Lord Most High, All Hail the Power of Jesus' Name, Your Name, and Saviour King.Our offering song was God of Justice.We continue our conference all week with missionaries involved in our normally scheduled activities.
