It's been a while since we've had a "thanksgiving" Sunday - the Sunday following thanksgiving for the last few years has also been the first Sunday of Advent.  Advent start this coming Sunday…We opened yesterday with Awake My Soul.After our call to worship we sang Let God Arise, Arise, Stronger, O Love That Will Not Let Me Go, and Before the Throne of God Above.Our offering song was Gungor's Beautiful Things.

We have 6 Sundays left before the end of the year.  6.  Sundays.We opened yesterday with Arise and Sing - a Brenton Brown song, that fits nicely over Journey's Faithfully.After our call to worship we sang Hosanna (hillsong), Heart of Worship, Be Thou My Vision, and Everything.Our offering song was I Lift My HandsI hope everyone has a great thanksgiving holiday.  I'm thankful for my incredible wife, great kids, terrific job, and family and friends that absolutely can't be beat!

We had a great morning of worship yesterday - Greg Poole quickly filled in for Bob - as he's out taking care of his youngest son - hit by a car in Nashville a week ago.  Micheal's doing better, but has a broken femur, and a few other broken bones, and a challenging road of recovery ahead of him.We opened yesterday with White Flag - a tune I'm really digging.After our call to worship we sang Because of Your Love, the Same Love, How Firm a Foundation and You Never Let Go.Our offering song was the 2nd time around on a new…

We had Oak Mountain Unplugged yesterday - something I like doing from time to time to keep things fresh.We opened with All Who Are Thirsty.After our call to worship we sang Your Grace is Enough, How He Loves, There is a Fountain, and Revelation Song.Our offering song was a tune I'm really digging from Jared Anderson called Great I Am.

I love choir Sundays.  Yesterday was yet another choir Sunday here at Oak Mountain.  It is, of course, never too late to join the choir.We opened yesterday with Do It Lord - one of my favorite tunes from Tommy Walker.After our call to worship we sang Come Christians Join to Sing, Amazing God, The Stand, and How Deep the Father's Love for Us.Our offering song was a song from our upcoming Christmas Worship Program - set for Dec 16, called We Will Run.
