Yesterday's worship was live at the Acropolis - we had the children's musical set up on stage complete with Josiah's throne, quite a few columns, etc.We opened with Jesus Messiah - a tune *new* to oak mountain that we first introduced during the Palm Sunday program a couple weeks agoAfter our call to worship we sang Crown Him with Many Crowns, Your Grace is Enough, Sing to the King, Amazing Grace (Chains are gone) and Hear Us from Heaven. I truly love the Easter morning celebration. I've been waking up earlier and earlier in the mornings - for reasons unknown, but this morning I was able to sit with my boys and read the resurrection accounts from scripture . . . Yesterday marked the 2nd to last Sunday of lent, and the start of Spectacular week. Today we start a week's worth of rehearsal and preparation for "All" which we'll present on Sunday the 28th at 9 and 10:30. It's been a great winter, and the preparation that the choir's been through over the past 10 weeks have certainly been exciting and transforming. Sunday simply marks the opportunity to worship through these songs one more time - as every Wednesday night at 6PM is transformed into a worship time as we consider the text and tunes of these great songs. Spring break Sunday is always a lower-attended sunday than normal - and couple that with spring forward sunday . . . We opened yesterday with You Lifted Me Out - great tune. Lots of energy, and I like the "oh's"After our call to worship, we sang Because of Your Love, No Other Name - a newer song from Todd Fields, Breathe, and How Deep the Father's Love For Us. We had quite the busy morning yesterday. The only thing we didn't do in the worship was celebrate the Lord's Supper - which we do next week - 2/14.
