Yesterday was one of our “not the typical OMPC musical style” sundays with a couple acoustics, piano, bass and percussion.

After the call to worship we sang Relentless, Come Thou Long Expected Jesus, O Come Emmanuel, Great Are You Lord and Waiting Here For You

Our offering song was Francesca Battistelli’s You’re Here, sung by Kala Waldron.

For Communion, Jeff Sauceda sang Peace by Michael McDonald.

We started our 2019 Season of Advent yesterday with our annual Kids Sing-a-long. Advent is the 4 Sundays prior to Christmas. Each Advent Sunday has a “theme,” traditionally signified by an Advent wreath with 3 purple candles, a pink candle and a white candle. The first Sunday of Advent is the Prophets Candle – signifying the prophets foretelling of Christ’s birth.

After the call to worship we sang Beautiful One, O Come All Ye Faithful, Away in a Manger, O Little Town of Bethlehem and Your Name (Christmas version)

Our offering song was a tune called How Can It Be – written by my wife, Mandy.
