I taught last week at a conference for church planters. Guys (and gals) from all over the country, spanning 20 different denominations, in all different stages of church planting. One of the parts of my talk is finding "the guy" to lead the worship ministry. In laying out "suggested criteria" i mentioned that he/she needs to be creative. Regardless of WHAT they're doing to create (writing music (or words or poetry or narrative), painting, drawing, blogging, videographing (that's just NOT a word), photography - "the guy" needs to be setting aside intentional time to create - every week. Monday Morning Recap for Sunday – January 30, 2011

Our Global Missions Conference kicked off yesterday morning. We met last night as well - and will meet tonight and tomorrow at 6:15. We opened yesterday with a new song (to oak mountain) called Let Your Kingdom Come (by the fine folks over at Sovereign Grace). After our call to worship we sang Let God Arise. Sing to the King, The Solid Rock, and Revelation Song. Last night we opened with Hosanna, and continued with Our God Saves, Everlasting God, Immortal Invisible, and Center. Choir led in worship yesterday. I love choir Sundays - great opportunity to get as many people involved in leading worship as possible. if you haven't joined the choir - think about it.
