Yesterday's worship set was actually crafted from a part of the sermon text "But we believe that we will be saved through the grace of the Lord Jesus..." Hard to believe that we're already halfway through September.  I'd say I can't wait for it to get cold but as soon as it gets cold we all start saying we can't wait for it to get hot. I'm so excited about next week!  This coming Sunday is our 15th Annual Bullfrog choir - open to all men (and their sons if applicable).  No need to be able to sing, at all!  In fact, when you combine that voice with 140 others, it blends in and creates this glorious sound of men leading the congregation in worship! I'm helping out at The Edge this week with our Jr High and our incredible youth staff, but drove back yesterday to be at Oak Mountain.  Ken Jones was also filling in for Bob and preached on "Christ the Triple Cure." I was out last Sunday and Jenny Pruitt filled in for me.  Incredibly talented and gifted!  So thankful for the amount of talent at OMPC. They opened last Sunday with Not To Us After the call to worship they sang Shelter, Blessed Be Your Name, Great is Thy Faithfulness and How Deep the Father's Love for Us.

This past week was VBS here at OMPC.  We had almost 600 kids, and another 225+ adult volunteers helping to make the week a huge success.  It's great to see so many different staff and ministries come together to help pull the week off! This week Bob preached through Acts 12:1-17 - on mystery.  As I contemplated and planned the worship set - the idea of mystery took my thoughts to amazement, which then led me to I Stand Amazed, and from there I built the rest of the set.  I'm amazed at the mystery of God's pursuit of me despite…
