Greetings blog readers . . . I returned to oak mtn after being gone last week - such a great time coming back to the church family that I love so much. We had our 7th annual bullfrog choir. Tremendous turnout, and a tremendous sound from over 100 guys belting out the melody. It's really quite amazing. We opened with Let God Arise. After our call to worship we sang Sing to the King, Immortal Invisible, Center (Hall), Be Thou My Vision, and Never Let Go. Our offering song was Surrender. Love that song. Love it.

Mark Clement filled in for me at Oak Mountain - and did a terrific job! Thanks to Mark. They opened last weekend with Famous One. After the call to worship they sang You Lifted Me Out, Happy Day (new to oak mtn - Tim Hughes), Holy is the Lord, and Jesus Paid it All. The offering song was Everything (Tim Hughes). Bullfrog choir is this week. Really looking forward to it.

Patrick and the Youth Group led worship this past weekend. They always do a great job - Patrick is one of those guys who is multi-faceted in ministry, and has many talents . . . our youth love him - and he's a great friend. We had a great morning of worship at Oak Mtn - Mark Clement led for me. Mark has become a good friend over the last year - and did a tremendous job - i look forward to having him lead again in the future. They opened this weekend with P Baloche's Hosanna. Great time of worship yesterday morning. The choir was singing. It was Father's Day. Being away from Oak Mtn - even for a couple days, always makes me fond of the people and the community when i return. Yesterday was no exception. Heath and Justin Hale led worship for us last weekend - did a tremendous job! I was down at Gulf Shores with our singles' group, leading worship for their retreat.
