Another music recommendation

Tommy Walker is one of my favorite songwriters. He's a worship leader out in CA - and differs from a lot of songwriters, in that he works for a church - his tunes are written with the congregation in mind, and pitched in keys that are singable for the average congregation, as opposed to some recording artists that are fantastic TENOR vocalists - and pitch their songs accordingly.Anyway, Tommy released a new album this past Tuesday, called "I Have a Hope." The title song, along with "do it Lord" and "Hallelujah, we will sing," are incredible. You can download the…

Tim Hughes – Holding Nothing Back

I've been listening to this entire album for months now. It is hands down one of the best worship albums out right now. If you're looking for something that you can put in and listen to from start to finish, get this album. Prodigal

I'm usually on the tail end of "new music" that's out - on mainstream radio. I've been loving that song "Apologize" - remix version from "Timbaland." It's on iTunes - but check out the group that actually wrote and originally performed the song - OneRepublic. They have a song on their album called "Prodigal." Here's the lyrics. Let the children come . . .

We're sitting around the dinner table last night, discussing school, and our days, etc. Drake has been listening to his mom's rehearsal CD, and there's a song called "The Real Jesus," by downhere. Mandy says - Drake, tell dad what the song means. Drake says - "Dad - it's someone that wants to be born again, he ASKING for someone to show him who Jesus really is." I told him "great answer," to which he responds "yeah, and I didn't even need help."
